sticky date upside down banana bread: silly little treats
when making this recipe I was not setting out to make THE effervescent, beautiful, magnanimous banana bread better. I mean a diva who pretends it's bread when its really a cake you can eat for breakfast, ICONIC. while also being expoentially better when you use old bananas you forgot about, EPIC. is it actually possible to improve on the original design? but again that wasn't my goal. what started out as a FAFO experiment with some leftover dates, turned into my new favorite banana bread recipe. and it involved literally flipping this classic upside down with a butter brown sugar date topping. can't wait for you to try this.
