skill level: easy medium
prep time: 30 minutes
cook time: no cooking required

let’s talk about green juice.
you know, the overpriced elixir that wellness influencers swear by— usually in a mason jar with some over dramatic claims that it's going to fix everything "wrong" with you.
but let’s be real: green juice isn't magic. it's a convienient and easy to way to get more veggies without chowing down on a head of broccoli as a snack. which is cool but the thought of dropping $10+ on what’s essentially a salad in liquid form in this economy, babe it ain't happening.
good news—there’s absolutely no need to blow your grocery budget on something you can easily whip up at home for a fraction of the cost. and guess what? you don’t even need one of those bougie juicers that take up all your counter space and require a PhD to clean (unless of course you want to).
ingredients
1 cup pineapple (chopped)
1 green apple (chopped)
1/4 cucumber
1 celery stalk
handful of spinach
1 1/2 cups of water
food processor or blender
strainer or cheese cloth
let's green juice
1 cup pineapple, chopped (for that tropical sweetness)
1 green apple, chopped (tart and crisp)
1/4 cucumber (hydration station)
1 celery stalk (because we’re being healthy today)
A handful of spinach (gotta get those greens in)
1 1/2 cups water (to help it all blend)
A blender or food processor (your juicer alternative)
A strainer or cheesecloth (for separating the juice from the pulp)
what to do with the leftover pulp after you're done making green juice
all about reducing waste here, so don’t toss that pulp just yet!
conservation babe tip: add the pulp back to the blender, throw in another 1 1/2 cups of water, and blend again for a second round of juice. You’ll be surprised how much more juice you can squeeze out of it.
freeze it for future smoothies: pour the pulp into ice cube trays and freeze it. The next time you’re making a smoothie, toss in a few of these cubes for extra nutrients and fiber—plus, no more wasted produce.
and just like that, you have green juice without the fancier juicer or fancy juice shop price.
